Evelyn nodded and stepped away with Eros. "Your lecture was impressive, but I had no idea you were so well-rounded, sir," she said with another teasing smile and glance. "Next you'll be telling me you play seven instruments and write poetry." To be honest, she didn't think she would be very surprised if he turned to her and said that yes, he does do those things.

Eros let his lips quirk. He played several instruments, and he had indeed written some poetry, though not of any real quality. "And if I ballroom dance as well?" he asked, one brow arching. "Do you dance, Miss Fiore?" He would guess that she did. She was well-dressed, but those bits of color against her skin implied rebellion. He wondered how closely she was related to her Italian relatives. He should most likely be resisting her charms instead of encouraging them.

"Not in any way that would be appropriate for a ballroom floor," Evelyn said. She certainly could if she wanted to, she imagined, but she'd never had any reason to. It was more fun in the press of bodies at a club, anyway. "Can you really see me in some big fancy ballgown?" The thought made her grin. She wouldn't be able to handle the dresses, not to mention the amount of ink that would show. She was pretty sure her amount of tattoos would be inappropriate.

Big fancy ballgown. "No, I suppose not," Eros said. Though perhaps in something sleek and just fitted enough to skim her curves. He kept his eyes at a proper level, kept his thoughts masked, but he could quite well imagine such a creature of feline grace slipping through a quiet party somewhere. Well, he certainly hadn't come to visit Mano a moment too soon, had he?
"Can you see me on the floor of some club or another?" he asked. Likely not. "Looks can be deceiving, Miss Fiore. I don't quite trust them, myself."

Evelyn nodded. She knew that quite well. "I wouldn't mind seeing you on the floor of some club or another. There's actually one right down there in the muggle town," she said. "Mr d'Avonderre." Her eyes sparkled as she looked up at him. It was perfectly fine of him to call her Evelyn if he wished. Maybe she could get him out to the club, she had the feeling she wouldn't have a disappointing night.

Eros's brows arched again, ever so slightly. "Is that an invitation?" he asked. His gaze didn't leave her as he made up his mind, however it might play against his plans for the evening. "I might be able to find time in my busy schedule." Oh yes, he had time. His relationship with Mano allowed for all the freedom he might want. Although he was quite content enough not to sleep with anyone else, he was still keeping his eyes open for that spark he'd sought for years now. The desperation was gone, but the illusive spark was still his goal.

"It might be," Evelyn said, smiling in faux innocence up at the man. Ha, like she could really pass herself off as innocent. What would the other students say about her, inviting the guest lecturer out to the club? Her smile turned a bit mischievous at the thought. "It's an interesting club experience, with muggles and wizards all mixing together. It makes for a fun night."

Muggles and wizards. That gave Eros pause, though he didn't give a sign of it. He had, though no one knew, mingled anonymously with Muggles before. He had quite a few secrets really, with no proof in existence. Still, Muggles and wizards. He would be highly visible in such a place, wouldn't he? He'd accepted Michael's pet husband quickly enough, but all now knew that the man was Pureblood. Bisexual, yes, but Pureblood at least.
So did he meet this interesting, attractive woman in a mixed Muggle club? He couldn't see it going well, not at all. Damn. He wanted to say yes, but he had appearances to keep. It simply wasn't worth the risk for a woman he knew nothing about.
He was about to invite her elsewhere when a girl wearing violet robes dotted with large imitation star rubies stepped in front of them. "Are you going to the bonfire?" she asked. Her hand poked out, offering a flyer with a rock attached to it. "Transfigure it to your House gemstone to show House Pride! There'll be music and s'mores!"

Evelyn took the flyer and the rock and nodded. "Scrap the club, we're going to the bonfire," she informed Eros. It would be cold, but the fire would be enough to keep them warm. Bonfires by the beach were always fun, though she'd never been to one on the beach during the winter. "Ever been to a bonfire, Mr. Scholar?" she asked, raising an eyebrow up at him.

"I'm afraid not," Eros said, taking a flyer and rock of his own. What was he supposed to transfigure it into? He watched as the young witch bounced off to shove flyers at a wizard summoning chairs. "But it appears I'm going to one tonight." Wouldn't Mano be amused?
Eros looked down at Evelyn, wondering how she managed to keep that mischievous spark in her eyes from fading in the least. "Are you prepared to enlighten me?" he asked.

Evelyn tucked her flyer away and pulled out her wand to transfigure her stone. She nudged him gently. "Oh I'm ready, are you ready for some enlightenment? I think you're in for a ride." Somehow, she doubted he typically did much relaxing, though he had hinted that perhaps he wasn't all that he seemed to be. Once her stone was turned, she tucked her wand away.

Eros looked from Evelyn's gemstone to his identity-less rock. "I'm always ready for enlightenment," he said. He lifted his gaze to Evelyn's, then slipped the rock and accompanying flyer into his pocket. "Tourmaline, isn't it?" he asked of the smooth green stone. "Does it have any particular meaning?" He only had the briefest association between Houses, green, and Slytherin, but there was a moment of curiosity.

"Yeah, I'm in Viridis, the creativity house. The stone's all about appreciating life. You know, live. Life's here for us to enjoy. Grab it by the balls and go, it's the only way to live," Evelyn said. The near-constant teasing flirty glint in her eyes turned serious and passionate for a moment. She'd decided a long time ago how she wanted to live her life and had no intentions of changing.

By the balls, Eros mentally repeated. He could only think of one person who said things like that, and it was interesting associating Evelyn with Michael's husband. When the man was drunk. The comparison didn't last long, however. That passion in her eyes was terribly attractive.
"I've always found that an admirable motto," he said. All his closest friends had certainly believed it wise. Yes, quite admirable.

"I wasn't going to let myself get locked up doing some desk work for the Ministry, I wanted to experience life. It's why I went to Italy when I graduated and why I came here when I needed a change," Evelyn said. "Who knows where I'll end up after this?" She was talking a lot, but it was something she held near and dear to her heart.
