"Of course I do," Ian teased. "Though, you know that if I'm not flirting with other girls, you can't flirt with other men." Nah, he didn't really care all that much, but it was always nice to have a woman's undivided attention. "You know, this is starting to sound scarily close to a date," he said, eyebrows raising at Juliane.

Pshht. "If I'm flirting with all the men, who will keep the ladies away from you?" Juliane teased. She didn't need the attention of dozens of men on her when she went to a club, not that she was looking for anyone's attention besides his. "Yes, it is." Juliane said as she let the words sink in. She hadn't been on a date in ages and from the time she left her house earlier in the evening, she never thought she'd find herself on a date any time soon. "Is that so scary?" She asked. To her, it was more like an unsuspected adventure. He had gained some small level of trust from her already. After all, if he was going to take advantage of her in any way he could have very well done it already. That led her to believe that he wasn't going to take advantage of her in any way, therefore deeming this so-called date safe.

"I haven't been on a date in years," Ian admitted. He had seen girls, he had hung out or met them at bars, but it rarely counted as an actual date, they were rarely labeled as dates. "So yeah, pretty scary. What if I spill something on my shirt?" His grin gave away the tease, he really wasn't nervous, no, it wouldn't be for another few dates that he would start getting nervous. Assuming there were more.

"I haven't been on one in a while, either." Juliane offered as any kind of comfort. She had been set up by her friends at bars and parties, but those were hardly dates. Most of them barely lasted to the end of the night. She hated being set up. If she wanted to find someone, she was capable of doing it herself. "Huh, well I suppose if you spill something on your shirt, I'll just have to find someone else who's shirt is clean." She teased back, nudging his arm. There was a grin that didn't seem to be leaving her face.

"Oh, that's harsh," Ian said, though he chuckled softly. "If I decide to get messy wings or chili chesse fries I'll make sure to get a bib. This is a five sickle shirt, you know, I wouldn't want to get it dirty." He picked lightly at his shirt and grinned. He was a sucker for cheap clothes, anything to be sure he could use his money on more important things.

Juliane's eyebrows shot up. "No, we wouldn't want to ruin such delicate fabric." She said, running her fingers over the fabric on his shirt. She hadn't seen clothes that cost five sickles since she was a little kid. Most of her clothes were made by herself. Five sickles was hardly enough to get a foot worth of the fabric she wanted to use. For five sickles, it didn't look half bad. It wasn't what she would have chosen, but it wasn't as awful as a flannel yellow and green plaid shirt, either.

"Hey, now," Ian said. "I love this shirt." It was old, he had gotten it in some muggle mart when he was in America, some old rock band that was probably still trying to stay relevant. "I have a ton like this. But then, maybe I'm just an old beach bum stuck in the eighties or something." Not that he remembered much of the eighties to be stuck in.

"Yeah, maybe." Juliane teased. She managed to keep a straight face for about two seconds before her lips broke into a smile and she giggled. "No, really...that shirt is great. I can see why you love it." Well, maybe she couldn't...but it was obvious that he did love it and despite the fact that she really did judge people based on their appearance, she was trying hard not to with him. She found herself really liking him and she wasn't about to ruin that just because she couldn't help but to judge.

Ian smoothed down his shirt, though it had constant wrinkles simply from age. "Yeah, yeah, sure, sure, I bet you think it's great," he said, shaking his head. Juliane probably would have put her nose up at it were it on anyone else. Not that he minded getting a bit of favor out of a pretty woman.

"Hush." Juliane instructed. "I just said it was, didn't I?" She stopped walking and turned to face him. Her icy blue eyes searched his face. She didn't want this date to be over before it even started. "I wouldn't lie. Especially not about a silly shirt." She said. And maybe that part was true. If she could over look the wrinkles, she realized the shirt wasn't half bad. In fact, maybe it would provide inspiration for her next collection. "No, I'm sorry...Especially not about a great shirt." She ammended with a teasing grin.

"Alright, whatever you say," Ian said, smiling. "Don't worry, I'm fine, honest." He hadn't taken offense about it, he just doubted that it would be the same if he was someone different. "I'm harder to insult than you probably think." At least about some things. There were a few topics that he was touchy about, but they hadn't come anywhere near them in their conversation.

"That's good to know." Juliane said as she continued walking. She had no idea what time it was, or how close they were, but she was enjoying herself walking and talking. It wasn't something she had done in a while, especially not with a guy. A cool breeze swept by and despite her many layers, Juliane could still feel hit. She kept closer to Ian in an attempt to keep warm until they got to the club. She wondered if they were taking the long way, nothing they passed now looked remotely familiar.

Ian was silent for some moments, but it was a comfortable silence. "Still want to go to the club?" he asked, glancing over at Juliane. There were other places they could go, where they could relax and talk and not have to worry about the near-guarantee of contact that might push them over an edge they weren't ready for that was the club.

"The club is fine with me." Juliane said. At least it would be warm. "But if there's somewhere else you'd rather take me, that's fine too." She was awful at deciding what to do, unless it had to do with her designs and the vision she had in her head. She wouldn't mind going somewhere more quiet, but she could handle the club. She didn't really know a whole lot about the town, though. She wasn't sure what kinds of places there were.

Ian looked over at Juliane for a few moments, then shrugged, "Okay, club." They could go somewhere else some other time. Not that Ian was planning for a second time, that is. "It's just over there," he said, gesturing over to a strangely quiet building that hid the sound that he knew would attack them the second they opened the door.
