Dayea's eyes gleamed, and her lips were curved as Jory finished. She let him have a moment of silence, a moment to recall what he could, to let himself truly absorb a prophecy for the first time. Yes, it was personal, but it was broad and specific all at once. He had pushed through fear of his own power and triumphed.
"Rest now, Jory," Dayea said softly. She touched a finger to the edge of the chocolate bowl, then set her stone on the table. "I will leave you to your thoughts, and you may see yourselves out when you feel ready. Unless you have questions?"

"How often do you give prophecies? Will I start giving more of them?" Jory asked, turning his head slightly to look at her. He didn't want to talk about the contents of the prophecy with her just now. The experience was draining without having it all picked apart like she had the talent of doing. How could she stand feeling so exhausted any more often?

"Ah, Jory. This is a question I cannot answer. It will happen most often when you are receptive, when you have awakened the inner eye. You may ask to see, and you may see, or you may not, as with any Divination. However, it may become less disruptive to you in time. When you give the inner eye an outlet, when you focus and let it see, visions will not need to burst free so often. Of course, you must keep in mind that Great Prophecies, ones which may influence Great Things, do not wait for convenience. Give yourself time each day, perhaps an hour, perhaps more or less, to listen to yourself. Meditation is a key for opening, but it is also a key for guidance." There was no true control, but in time, guidance could become strong.

Jory nodded, but since he had no other questions, the seer left them to themselves. He turned the stone over in his hands, and didn't look up at Jai until he reached over for some chocolate. "So," he said, "that was a little...intense. Thank you for coming." It had been nice having someone by his side, even if it was surreal to have Jai watching when not even Indigo had joined him in a lesson before.

"Yeah," Jai said. He turned the moonstone over in his hands a few times, then glanced back at the drawer she'd pulled it and the others out of. "I'm totally buying you ice cream tonight." He threw Jory a grin, then set his stone down and grabbed a chocolate. "Is it always like that? I mean, she's intense in class, but... she really pushed you." Jai watched Jory curiously.

"Not always that intense, but she thinks I've got a lot of potential, so she pushes me hard. See, during my first lesson after I gave that first prophecy, she went into a trance to get more information, and I saw like...flashes of it, and she was super impressed," Jory said, remembering back. "She did a couple spreads for me, and I had two paths I could walk."
His voice slowed and he popped a chocolate into his mouth to chew thoughtfully. Only when it was gone did he continue. "The cards said I could go two ways. I could embrace it, be mature and inspiring and all these wonderful things. Or I could...be lonely, fall to false ambition and have people only want me for my abilities. I slip back into the things that would send me to the bad path, and she tries to jerk me back into place."

"Wow." Jai didn't know what to say to something that heavy. That didn't stop him from talking, though. "I don't like you for being a seer. I mean, it's badass, but I like you, y'know?" Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. Jai grabbed his hat off the table and pulled it on, then stood to look around the room. "So is this... the good path? I mean, your prophecy has to be right, right?"

"It'll come true," Jory said carefully, then set aside his stone and took another piece of chocolate before standing himself. "That doesn't mean it'll come true how we think it might. Some of it could come true today," ice cream and music, "but some of it could be in ten years. Or it isn't a permanent thing. Or a ton of other maybes. But yeah, good path, so long as I don't get cocky."
He managed a smile and nudged Jai. "Being liked by a famous singer probably won't help that part, you'll have to help keep me humble." The smile faltered a bit. He'd thought it would be Indigo who would help him through the journey, but perhaps Indigo had done his part and he had to move on.

Jai laughed. "I'm not the guy for that," he said. "I think you're cute as f~ and you've got like... a gift or something. The country boy thing? Cute. As. F~." Jai hadn't actually thought about where Jory might be from until the guy had said it earlier. It made sense though. Jory was all quiet and modest and stuff. Jai slid open Madame Magadia's drawer of gemstones to look at the collection. Wow.

"The cute thing won't inflate the ego," Jory said, watching the guy but not commenting. "The gift thing, maybe. I just have to...make it grow without letting it take over." He'd heard he was cute from so many guys that it practically felt like background noise. Maybe that was being cocky, but it felt more like just being used to something. "Besides, you probably tell all the guys they're cute," he teased.

Jai grinned over at Jory. "Nah, just the ones I want to get in bed," he teased back. He looked at the gems again and let his hand sweep slowly over the drawer, wondering if he was imagining the power he felt. It was tempting to pick each of them up, to guess what they were or to see how they felt. It was tempting to pocket one, but Jory was here. He'd talk to Dismas later, see if he could get a set of his own, though how he'd choose or decide if they were good quality he had no clue. He sighed and slid the drawer shut.

Jai's attraction felt so genuine Jory couldn't help but be drawn to it. The other rich guys who'd hit on him had done so for...why? Because he was a unique little find? To take advantage? To get information? Jai didn't seem to want anything from him. "Come on, you said you'd buy ice cream," he said, then gestured for Astra to come to him.

Jai gave the drawer one last, longing look, then turned with a bit of bounce to his step. He grabbed a handful of chocolates to share on their walk, then out the door they went.
