"I have university students and a strict policy of tolerance," Dismas said, "and I have a wizarding rock band. The club will attract those who are already interested in tolerance. Any who take advantage will be grossly outnumbered.
"My club would be of little use if my own band and personal interests weren't allowed freedom. And I'll admit that Jai gets away with more than most." He knew that Sunrise meant no harm. There was no evil in him and little true mischief, only that desire to live as quickly and thoroughly as possible which was such a symptom of youth.

"I like Jai," Sean said, smiling. "He's fun." There was a bit of cocky he expected from someone in a band, but it wasn't enough to push him away. "I didn't know who he was at first, I recognized him, but couldn't figure it out." It was probably good he hadn't recognized Jai immediately, it meant he hadn't had to deal with any feeling of being starstruck.

"The Billywigs are better known in the United States," Dismas said. "They toured Europe this summer with Shooting Sparks to pick up a fanbase here, so I wouldn't expect everyone to recognize him." Sunrise seemed to expect it, though. Dismas refused to step in any more than necessary to protect the boy's life, far more interested in giving Sunrise his head and watching things unfold, but he wondered now and then if he hadn't given him a bit too much freedom. "He's a great deal of fun, but has a short attention span." Fair warning.

A half-smile pulled at Sean's lips as he glanced away and nodded. He knew better than to actually think something might come of him and Jai, even if it was maybe a fun not-quite-fantasy to have. "I can't really blame him for that," he said. He wasn't even sure if he actually wanted another relationship now. "Do you know his friend Cat?"

"I've met Cat, but know him better from things I've heard. The two are quite close." Dismas wondered what he'd be hearing about Sean later, and how Cat was involved. He didn't volunteer more, but took a sip from his mug and watched Sean, considering.

"Yeah, I could tell. I was just curious because he found me at the club before Jai did, it was interesting," Sean said. He'd been surprised at how smoothly the pair had handled the situation. He wiped at the condensation on his half-full glass with his thumb. "Jai didn't, you know, get mad or anything."

"The two only have friendly competitions. It's an interesting relationship," Dismas said, using Sean's wording. If Sean was fishing for information, it wouldn't work. "Do you have a question for me?" he asked. He could play the game of beating around the bush all night, but it was far less interesting than getting to the point.

Sean shook his head. "I'm just interested in learning about people, especially when I went home with one and promised the other a dance another time," he said. He had little worry now that even a third party had said the two would apparently have no issues with him spending time with both of them. "I'd rather not end up making an enemy or two on my first day here."

"So long as you're honest with the two, you shouldn't have problems," Dismas said. "Jai makes something of an effort not to get attached to people, though there's some affection between him and Cat. They were quite close during their school days and a great deal of that remains." Jai didn't speak openly about sleeping with Cat, but Dismas knew that it had happened and still did sometimes. The two were very close, and he wondered at that combination of almost romantic intimacy with companionable friendship.

"I'm not really looking for attachment. I mean, it's nice, but the last one didn't end too well, a break is good," Sean said. He picked up his glass and, with a few long pulls, finished it off. "I'll have to find Cat the next time I go to the club." He owed the guy a drink and a dance and he couldn't say he wasn't looking forward to it.

Dismas rather liked Sean, but it was wiser to let the young man go. He had his Sunrise, and so he'd make no offers. It was better that Sean didn't want to be attached, and that Jai would move on. Dismas paused at the sink to set his cup inside, then turned back to the young man.
"Tell the bartender next visit that Sunset's buying your drinks and they'll be on the house for the night," he said. He gave a brief smile, showing a glittering flash of fangs, then turned to leave the room.

Surprised at the offer, Sean only managed a thanks just before Dismas was out of the room. It was only after the man was gone that he registered what he'd seen in that smile, and it made him pause as he took care of his own glass, though he brushed it off as a play of the light. A minute or two later he headed back to Jai's bedroom, crawling into the bed and splaying out on his stomach next to the still-sleeping Jai to finally fall asleep.

Jai didn't always wake up next to whoever he'd fallen asleep with the night before. A lot of guys just wanted a good time or a quick round with a guy in a band, and then they were done. There were anti-theft spells up in the house because of it, though he was really only aware of the ones on his guitars.
Still, the refreshment of a good sleep was made even better with the feel of skin against skin. Jai cracked his eyes open. Stan. Sh-something. Shtan. Sean. At least he hadn't forgotten. That would have made things awkward, and Jai didn't like awkward. He liked murmuring that name as his hands sought a welcoming ass.

Sean liked waking up with someone, especially a someone who obviously had no shame in initiating another go. He needed no encouragement to shift and let his own hand wander over Jai. "You're not a switch, by any chance, are you?" he managed to ask. It seemed highly unlikely, but he had to ask anyway. There had been enough surprises on that front that he'd learned not to assume.

"Total top," Jai replied, "but I give damn good head." He loved the male body, but wasn't interested in bottoming. He wouldn't do it for Cat or Dismas, he certainly wasn't doing it for anyone else. It got him hot doing it, and if it made his partner more receptive to bottoming again, even better.
