Jai grinned. "You can open your eyes now!" he called. Jory's messy hair was a blur, his face was a blur, and it was impossible not to laugh with him. As a kid the center of the merry-go-round had been the best place to be, but he thought he could handle being on the outside. For a while. Then he took a running leap between the bars, sticking his leg out just once to make up the momentum he'd taken, and he crowed with excitement.

Jory opened his eyes in time to see a flying Jai coming at him, and he gasped in the moment before impact. It only made him laugh more. When was the last time he'd really laughed instead of just a chuckle or a giggle for a second or two? "This is insane!" he claimed, though he didn't stop laughing. This kind of feeling didn't typically happen without, what, sex, maybe? No, that didn't count. This was much more...innocent. Fun for the sake of fun.

Jai laughed too, and though he probably should have pulled himself back off of Jory, the merry-go-round was spinning too fast. Trying to pull himself between the bars where he'd intended would just lead to knocking Jory down all over again. He realized too late the position they were actually in, him lying atop Jory with the world spinning around them. Don't kiss him.

That feeling of innocence didn't last very long with Jai's body pressing against his. Or maybe it just flowed into a less-innocent feeling, much like feelings for a friend had flowed into something more after an unexpected kiss. It was surreal, staring into Jai's face, the one thing that was in focus while the rest of everything was a blur only starting to slow. Street lights and, behind them, stars spun into silver circles and he had half a thought it could have been a dream instead of real life. With head and world spinning, he reached for the only thing that seemed to make sense at the moment, and kissed him.

Jai couldn't tell himself he hadn't seen the possibilities. He'd told himself that it didn't matter, though. There was some kind of connection here besides just lust and he wouldn't let himself think about it now. He loved the moment too much to ruin it thinking about consequences and gave no hesitation in taking that kiss and making it more. His lips parted and, as they spun, his body shifted, finding near-perfect comfort.

Jory gave up entirely trying to keep a hold on the poles and slid an arm around Jai's shoulders. It shouldn't have felt so good to do this, not with Indigo boiling not too far away and a whole life on the line, but none of that was close to the front of his mind as he deepened the kiss and the real world slowed while his heart started to speed.

Jai kissed Jory with long, deep strokes, the rollercoaster of the evening culminating in an adrenaline rush he didn't want to ignore. This was exactly where he'd wanted to be tonight, pressed up against that slender little brunette with the bright blue eyes and the red lips. His hand searched out those teasing piercings he'd glimpsed earlier and the sensitive skin around them. This was happening, and he didn't intend to stop without a good reason.

Jory slid a hand up the back of Jai's shirt as if it was meant to be there. This was exciting and new, and as the playground toy slowed to a stop one kind of spinning in his head died only to be replaced by another, and part of him knew it was too late already. When had he ever been able to say no and mean it? Being weak and giving in was simply a part of him, and Jai's hips against his felt so good, anyway...

Jai wanted this, but he couldn't entirely forget where they were. The merry-go-round was spinning so slowly now that it made little difference, but he could hear the creak of the swings, feel the cool night breeze in his hair. He wanted to touch and to be touched, and for now, that was enough. For now, it left him relieved and breathless.

"Oh my..." Jory breathed, and the mantra was repeated a few times as he came down, all the while clinging to his partner. It felt good, it felt so good. A huge buildup and a rush and an ending and relief and...his partner.. The next oh my ended with eyes opening wide and a loud "God!" as his rational brain rushed to catch up.

Jai chuckled, completely unaware of what had just gone through Jory's head. He pressed a couple lazy kisses to the guy's jaw, then murmured, "Come home with me. It'll be better in bed." Where they could do this properly, take their time and be as loud and as thorough as they wanted.

"No, no, no, nonono," was all Jory could manage at first, shaking his head and trying to get out from underneath Jai to get control over his own thoughts. It had felt amazing, and the relief of letting go and doing whatever he wanted to do was indescribable, but Indigo. His boyfriend was already angry enough, and this would just make it worse. And now he was just going to make Jai feel horrible, too. "I can't, I'm sorry, it felt good, but Indigo, but you, but I'm sorry," he tried. Was this what a mental breakdown felt like? It felt so good.

Dammit! This was what Jai hadn't wanted to think about. He let Jory go, but knelt in the center of the merry-go-round, the best place to be, zipping up his jeans. "I'm sorry," he echoed. Had he thought that Jory would just forget the boyfriend and come home with him for a night? He shook his head slowly. No, and that was the problem. He hadn't thought.

Even as he shuffled away, Jory shook his head and stammered out meaningless comments. This wasn't what he'd planned; he'd only meant to make something right tonight, and he'd only managed to screw up even more. " I'm so sorry, it isn't your, it's all my, please-" he tried, but none of the right words would come out, and his clothes were barely put into place when he disapparated, frantic to fix things while feeling as though he was just ruining option after option. universityofsorcery.proboards.com/thread/151/wages-sin-indigo-jory

Jai watched Jory go, his mind spinning with a hundred things he didn't want to think about. He stared at the spot for some time, trying to catch his breath, before finally deciding it was useless. He stood, jumped off the merry-go-round, and retrieved his fallen hat.
He stood, looking down at it, slowly brushing off dust and bits of dried grass. He was going home and getting too wasted to remember. He disapparated.
