Jory's eyes widened and he leaned slightly into Indigo. He shouldn't be staring, but he couldn't help it. Memories of the flashes he'd seen in the prophecy and in his later conversation with Magadia flashed rapid-fire through his mind. This shouldn't be happening. Should he say something?

Indigo was staring too, despite the look Castiel had given him. He'd been thinking Castiel would fight with Cat, but now the guy Jory had pointed out was talking. Who was he? "Should we leave?" he whispered to Jory. "Should we get someone?" Nothing was happening, but should they?

Castiel linked his arm through Mari's and tried to stand. "Let's go," he huffed. "I bet Caspian's friends won't be jerks." He shot Saren a hard look and Indigo a sharp one. "I brought emergency chocolate." He reached into his pocket with his free hand and pulled one out.

"I'm sorry, all I've done is sit here," Saren said. "I thought we were being rather companionable, actually." He hadn't said anything to antagonize them and they hadn't said anything to rile him up, either. "Am I really that intimidating?" he asked, looking between the three.

"You're really that much of a jerk," Mari said softly, standing with Castiel and taking the chocolate. It was one of the only times he'd ever actually said something against Saren out loud, though his brother had deserved it for years. He kept his eyes low, unwilling to face anyone just now.

Castiel gave Saren a fierce glare on his friend's behalf and gently pushed Mari toward the aisle. He neither knew nor, at this point, cared where Caspian's friends were. Saren was just going to keep being douchey and trying to make them out to be the bad guys.
"We're not scared of you," Castiel said. "We just feel sorry for you because you're all delusional."

Cat stood and nudged his brother on ahead before turning to Saren. "Isn't it bad enough that you've been doing this to him his whole life? It's not going to work, he's worth a hundred of you and I'm not gonna let you try to make him feel worse because he won't be your house-elf anymore. Just stay away from him."

Evangeline's brows drew together. She wondered what was going on, but it wasn't her place to talk, and so she didn't interrupt. Why were those boys calling Saren names? And who was this he they were talking about? She looked worriedly at Saren, wondering what he would do.

Saren's eyes darkened. He hadn't missed what Mari said. "Hush, Mari," he said, getting the feeling his brat of a brother intended to say something else. "The adults are talking. Although I'm unsure this one can be considered an adult, all he's done is attempt to tell me what to do." His hand tensed in its place against Evangeline.

Mari pulled away from Castiel and turned to face Saren, finally looking up with flashing eyes. He ignored any looks those around them were shooting toward the new drama. "He's better than you! He's actually nice, and he takes care of people!" He didn't reach for his wand, but his hands tightened into fists.

"I don't want to see this," Jory said, turning away and standing. Watching was like trying to look at two pictures of the same thing from two different cameras. Echos in his head mimicked what he saw in the stands behind them.

Indigo stood with Jory and gave the scene an uncomfortable look. "Yeah, let's get out of here," he said. He hoped they hadn't had anything to do with things starting. Seeing a prophecy didn't make it happen, did it? He'd ask if they should visit Madame Magadia when they left. Maybe this wasn't the prophecy at all.

Castiel had forgotten the other douches and was bristling at Saren instead. "There you are pretending he doesn't count again!" he argued. "He's got every right to talk because this is about him, and you treating him like he's not important! He's the best friend in the world and you just don't like him because... because you're a Purist!" There, he'd said it! "You think you're better than us, and you're not! You're not even Pureblood... Voldemort!" Hypocritical halfblood purist!

Cat's eyes widened at that last jab. He'd been in Europe long enough to know that people didn't say that name out loud, and he'd actually called Saren Voldemort. He burst into humorless laughter. "Oh my God, it works," he said. "Butthurt halfblood p.o.'d at anyone who won't bow and scrape because you act important."
Cat gave a mocking half-bow. "We bid you good day, Lord Scaren. By your leave I'll be taking our brothers and watching some real duelists."

Saren's eyes narrowed and he stood, pulling his wand. He wished he had two, so he could aim one each at the little bratty Catalyst and at the older cocky one. As it was, he only had one, and he trained it onto the older brother. Sectumsempra. He didn't care where the spell hit, as long as it hit.
