Indigo was rooted in place by horror at all this, and only managed to move enough to wrap his arms around Jory and pull him into a tight embrace. He squeezed his eyes shut and wished they could just leave. He knew better, though. He'd been the one to call for help, to tell the Healer that some guy at the arena had used sectumsempra on some other guy. He was pretty sure there'd be questions later.

Avery rubbed his hand over his face. "Tempest, is he going to make it?" he asked instead of pointing out that the supposed offender appeared to not even be legal yet. The last thing the school needed was a death in a duel that started with name-calling and involved a pair of underage teenagers. He glanced over at the blood pouring from Saren, but, as the man was still on his feet, made no move to help him just yet.

Mari sank to a bench and reached for Castiel, though he stayed in the same shocked and stunned silence that had held him for most of the fight. He should say something, shouldn't he? But Castiel's brother was dying and Castiel was hurt, and Saren was standing there blaming it on Castiel, and he didn't know what to say.

Tempest didn't so much as pause the healing spell he murmured over and over, knitting together muscle one careful bit at a time. He gave a brief nod, though. His patient would live, but only if he kept working as fast as he could. It wasn't hopeless. When the last bit of skin was healed, Tempest dove into his bag. Blood-replenishing potion was needed, and he'd have to get it into an unconscious patient before he even started to think about dittany for the scarring.

Castiel sobbed all over again at the question the important-looking guy had asked. He loved his brother, and it wasn't fair that such an awesome guy should be near dying at twenty-one while a horrible one like Saren should be standing there pointing fingers. "The boundaries which divide Life from Death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where the one ends, and where the other begins?" he murmured, the second time he'd quoted Poe during this insanity.

Avery nodded and looked around at the still-lingering crowd. "If you were not directly involved in this fight, you have permission to leave," he said in a voice that made it clear the permission was more like a demand. "If you saw what happened and believe you have relevant information, report it to your head of house immediately. Rutilus students report to one of the other heads." Tempest needed time to work, not to be on the receiving end of a lot of conflicting information.
A raised eyebrow aimed toward the crowd sent the final lurkers finally turning to leave. "Saren, sit down already before you fall head over heels down the damn stadium," he snapped as he caught a bit of wobbling in the corner of his eye. He glanced back toward Indigo and Jory, then over at the other pair. "I will have each of you individually in my office to give your version of events, and don't try to come up with a lie, I'll know. Do not leave."
Finally, he turned to give attention to the singed and bleeding Saren. He wasn't nearly as good at healing magic as Tempest, but he could do well enough to keep Saren from getting worse. Singed cloth and hair was the least of the man's worries. Burned fingers on what he assumed to be the man's wand hand, the blood from the other arm, and the dazed look in the man's eyes were much more worrisome.

"I'll need to take him to the hospital wing," Tempest said when the crowd had trickled away. "He'll transfigure himself back when he's better, but he still needs a lot of care. His burns are extensive." He paused and looked back at Saren, then went back into his bag. A single blood-replenishing potion, likely all the young man would need, floated toward him.
"Your wounds weren't caused by Dark magic," he explained, turning back to the more pressing patient. "These were." That last was for Avery. "If you come by tomorrow I'll take care of your scarring. I'm sure with your wand skills you can grow your eyebrows back in moments." He wanted to remain neutral, especially as Head of House of half the people there, but the student he was working on had been so near death that he didn't dare say it with children so near.

Had he had the energy, Saren might have glared, but as it was he simply reached for the potion. Whatever his injuries, he pulled away from Avery. He would have preferred to head home and deal with things on his own, but he didn't even have his wand. He could barely even focus on anything, his eyes refused to stick to one thing. Dark magic probably shouldn't have come so quickly from his wand, but he did have a little bit of a temper problem sometimes. He glanced around in an attempt to find Evangeline, but the movement only caused a wave of dizziness to wash over him, and he forced himself to close his eyes and work on the stopper to the potion.

Castiel scowled at Saren, wishing he could glare the guy to death. Voldemort. Saren wasn't that strong, he was just a douchebag jerk. He'd be writing his mother tonight to tell her what happened. He wouldn't even count Saren as his half-cousin anymore.
